Version 1: Bharat Smart Meter Protocol Analysis (BSMPA) 

Smart Meter Integrated Testing and Higher Analysis(SMITHA)is an Application Software developed by CDAC(T)&CPRI(Bangalore), funded by MeitY, which is a Make in India Product under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative of the Government of India. SMITHA is envisaged to be taken forward in a phased manner:

The Application Software developed as one common indigenised test tool for Testing & Verification of Conventional and Smart Energy Meters (NAN & WAN) for implementation of Data Exchange protocol based on IEC 62056 and Parameter verification tests as per IS 15959 Series: Data Exchange for Electricity Meter Reading, Tariff & Load Control – Companion Specification.

IS 15959(Part 1): 2011 – Static Energy Meter

IS 15959(Part 2): 2016 – Smart Meter

IS 15959(Part 3): 2017 – Smart Meter(Transformer Operated kWh and kVArh, Class 0.2 S,0.5 S and 1.0 S)
