SUGAM Portal
In 2014, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) launched a transformative e-Governance initiative in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) to automate its processes. This initiative, driven by SUGAM, has revolutionized the Indian pharmaceutical sector, promoting transparency, simplicity, and accountability. As a project of national significance, SUGAM has played a pivotal role in shaping India's healthcare landscape. By October 2024, SUGAM has registered over 31,000 users, processed more than 419,000 applications, and issued 356,000 approvals. Beyond pharmaceuticals, it has strengthened regulatory oversight, improved compliance, and supported informed decision-making, fostering industry growth.
