Technology Mediated Delivery of e-courses in Medical Science Education for NER Medical Colleges
The project is assisting and supplementing the medical colleges, primarily of the North East, in providing the much-needed expert medical education and technology mediated classes through e-courses, being delivered and offered through the MEeT(Medical Education with e-Technology) online platform. The project is being implemented in collaboration with AIIMS, Delhi, wherein AIIMS is the Knowledge Provider and CDAC(N) is the Technology Enabler.
Use Cases
- e-courses being accessed by around 3464 medical fraternity from medical colleges across the country including 2162 medical students & other fraternity from the 8 NER medical colleges
- Virtual Teaching infrastructure support set up in 8 NER Medical Colleges, namely ZMC, Mizoram; NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, RIMS, Imphal; TRIHMS, Arunachal Pradesh; Tripura Medical College, Agartala; Silchar Medical College, Assam; GMCH, Assam & Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh.
Salient Features
- The MEeT(Medical Education with e-Technology) online platform has been established and deployed for conduction of online trainings in Medical Science education : https://meet-vt.in, with 5000 + medical fraternity & HCW’s enrolled so far for the courses.
- Twelve e-courses of around 20 hours each, on clinical modules covering the essentials of the course with audio video explanations, animative explanations and demonstrations are being developed and offered to the medical fraternity, comprising of all medical students and medical faculty, primarily for the North Eastern medical colleges.
