Creative Content Development and Social Media Management
Media coverage is incomplete without promotional campaigns run on social media networks. Running campaigns in print have to be in sync with those run on social media. Social media presence for an organization, entity, government departments, etc. has become the need of the hour. In order to reach out to the masses, social media holds prominence as everyone owns a phone and is almost perpetually consuming media through one platform or the other.
Likewise, the creation of content for the web or any digital media is very important nowadays now-a-days. People are developing the habit of learning to lean towards and believe any content that is available in digital form. Hence it is the duty of the government department to supply authentic information to the general public through various media.
C-DAC Mohali got the opportunity to be part of this prestigious SVEEP program in July 2020. A comprehensive strategy to effectively and seamlessly connect with people of Punjab was designed. As an outcome not only the reach was enhanced tremendously but also the engagement increased substantially with all targeted segments through various events/campaigns (online as well as offline) and contests. With an extensive promotional campaign, the Punjab Assembly Elections 2022 went free, fair, participative, inclusive and COVID safe.
Use Cases
Under this initiative, C-DAC Mohali provided services under the following two major projects:
1. Development of Content for Punjab State Portal:
Raw information is received from different departments of the Government of Punjab. With the expert content development team, the final content is put up creatively and as per the format acceptable in the digital world. This content is maintained to be up-to-date, correct and authentic and is thereby put on the Punjab State Portal.
2. Creative Content Creation and Social Media Management for Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP)
Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation program, better known as SVEEP, is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. Since its inception in 2009, SVEEP has been enabling a steady rise of registration and voter turnout characterized by an active participation of women, youth, people with disabilities, and marginalized communities such as Transgenders and Migrants.
